Room Mate Hotels (www.room-matehotels.com) is a Spanish hotel chain that has 2 hotels in the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Rotterdam), as well as hotels in major cities in Spain, Italy and Turkey. Room Mate Aitana is looking for a driven Interim Duty Manager to cover a maternity leave for the period of June-December. We are looking for ambitious Hospitality professionals who are looking to make a next step in their career while at the same time taking the first steps in a management position. After the interim period we will be happy to look at next career steps in Room Mate Hotels.

Together with the General Manager and the Management Team of the hotel you ensure guests have the best experience, and all departments are performing at the highest level. There will be a lot of room for your ideas and initiatives.

This will be a varied and flexible position, your main tasks will include

• Together with Guest Relations and the Accommodation Manager ensure the perfect guest experience.
• Assisting the General Manager with daily tasks
• Doing quality rounds and checks
• Following up escalated complaints
• Assisting operational departments during peak moments
• Various administrative tasks

Our ideal Roomie will have:

Sincere friendliness, good sense of humor, enjoying life, positivity, and to share your view of the world. In other words: yourself!
Besides this we are also looking for the following:

• Knowledge and experience in the hotel industry, for example as receptionist or shiftleader
• Ambitious and driven personality
• Available in the period June -December
• Educated in hospitality / hospitality management on HBO level, or MBO level with relevant work experience.
• Excellent command of English and at least one major european language
• Knowledge of PMS, Opera is a plus
• Living in Amsterdam or direct vicinity
