System Engineer (hybrid)

Role purpose:

  • Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of systems and services
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure
  • Configure storage, servers, fabric switches and systems, Microsoft servers (Cluster Services, File Services, Active directory Services, Certificate Authority services), Virtual Infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V), Linux and AIX Servers, infrastructure Kubernetes clusters, storages and backup systems.
  • Deploy new operating systems and features, middle ware applications as well as provide enhancements to existing applications and software
  • Daily maintenance of the systems (e.g., patching, upgrading, scripting for automations, monitoring through corporate available tools, etc.)
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.

Requirements:

  • University/College Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or relevant technology field
  • A proven record of 3-5 years working experience on administration of IT System Infrastructure with a mixed of Windows/Linux and Virtual/Cloud environment.
  • Excellent experience in development, systems’ implementation and applications
  • Good Knowledge of OS (Windows, LINUX, AIX, Virtualized environments & Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of cloud system technologies as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS will be considered as a plus.
  • Experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Experience in ticketing systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Excellent command of the Greek & English language, both written and spoken
  • Completed military obligations for male candidates.
